Information and documents required for creating a FERI
Additional information about the FERI
For Democratic Republic Congo it is mandatory to mention a FERI number on the original Master Bill of Lading. It is not possible to create a FERI number for Democratic Republique Congo on forehand. The FERI number will be provided after approval of the FERI.
For Democratic Republic Congo, Bureau Veritas will assign a special COD number to every import. Next to this COD number, Bureau Veritas will provide a FXI or FSI number. This FXI number consists of 10 digits. To get the draft FERI validated, both numbers (COD + FXI) need to be declared.
For creating a FERI different rates are applicable. This depends on the Port of Loading and type of shipment, like LCL, FCL, Breakbulk or RORO.
